Founded by Stephen Lerman, Chameleon BDS draws on over 25 years of international sales experience, beginning in the industrial estates of Detroit where Stephen cold-called with a roll of quarters and a paper map. From there, he progressed into international automotive sales, opened a European office, and managed multimillion-dollar client relationships across the UK, US and Europe.
Today, Stephen and the Chameleon BDS team act as an extension of your brand, starting the right conversations, securing quality appointments, and giving your business the time and space to grow.

OUR STORY
Chameleon BDS was born out of necessity and a love for sales. After being made redundant just before the COVID-19 pandemic, Stephen saw an opportunity: to offer his skills in cold calling, lead generation, and business development to businesses that needed sales support but didn’t have the budget or bandwidth to hire full-time.
Inspired by a comment he made to a recruiter -“I’m a sales chameleon; if you can sell, you can sell anything” – the name Chameleon BDS (Business Development Services) was born. Stephen adopts the persona of every business he represents, becoming part of the team and using a dedicated phone number, voicemail, and call recording system for each client.
Since launching, Chameleon BDS has helped businesses across sectors and regions re-engage prospects, generate high-quality leads, and regain sales momentum, especially in a post-pandemic landscape where persistence and professionalism are more critical than ever.
Today, Stephen applies that expertise to support ambitious businesses across Manchester, the North West, London, Surrey, Scotland, and beyond.
